Professor Lu Xiaoyong is now the Director of the Department of Public English Teaching atSICFL. He was the Director of the Department of College English Teaching andDoctoral Supervisor of Fu Dan University and his field of research lies inlinguistics and applied linguistics. He was graduated from the program ofEnglish Language & Literature of the Department of Foreign Languages, FuDan University and got the Bachelor’s Degree there. From 1985 to 1987, hestudied the courses for the postgraduates at Albany Branch Campus, New YorkState University, U.S.A. and was conferred two M.A. degrees. From 1999 to 2000,he was a visiting scholar at California State University, Fullerton. So far, hehas published about 10 textbooks and over 20 papers and won the Second Prizefor Shanghai Teaching Award for three times (1998, 2005 and 2014) respectively andthe Third Prize in 2001.
