The  Program  of  Visual Communication Art is set up to help the   students to grasp the basic aestheticideology, creative concept and technical skills  of visual communication art.When they have finished their formal schooling, the students of the Programwill be able to be engaged in print ads design, environmental visual design ofpress, designing of magazines and printed matter, webpage design, digital mediadesign in electronic advertisement and innovative activities which are includedin computer technology design of commercial printed samples and computergraphic design and to perform the novel comprehensive creation by using theapplied technology (including hand painting skills computer-aided design,preparation of designed samples coupled with artistic design). The Program ofFilm & Television Animation boasts a team of teachers who are very capableof professional practice, have abundant experience of working in enterprisesand exercise effective guidance in developing students’ practical professionalexpertise.

 The core coursesof the Program include “Color Scheme in Multimedia Materials,, Design Sketch,Graphic Research, Photography Research (Photoshop、Illustrator, IN Design),literature and English.”

   In addition, the Programattaches much importance to the development of students’ professional expertiseand demands its students to take such courses as “Advertisement Planning,Culture Brand Marketing, Management of Designing & Planning, Designing ofConferences & Exhibitions, CIS Design, Chinese Calligraphy, Ink Art,Contemporary Art & Painting, Music Appreciation, Literature Appreciation,Modern Science & Technology, Appreciation of China’s Traditional Arts &Crafts, China’s Classic Philosophy, among others.”    

The students of the Program arerequired to obtain the following certificates: “Vocational English Test (Level I),Examination for Multimedia Personnel in Short Supply in Shanghai(Intermediate), Package Designer by Shanghai Labor Bureau (Level III) and theyare also encouraged to get the certificates recognized by InternationalWell-known Vendors.

When they have finishedtheir formal schooling, the students of the Program will be working such postsas “logo design, advertisement design, graphic design, package design,advertisement, photography, printed publications, films and television programsand game design.”
