From June 13 to June 22, 2014,SICFL delegation headed by Vice PresidentProfessor ZhuShichang, Executive Dean of the Department of French Madame GaoJungui, Miss Meng Jie, Associate Dean Ms Yang Ping and Director of Dean’s StudyDr. Fu Jianhui visited Université Stendhal,Marseille University of Culture, Université de la Méditerranée, France, UniversidadAutonoma de Barcelona, Universidad Antonio de Nebrija, Universidad Alcala, Spain.The delegation heldfriendly and extensive discussions with these universities concerning theissues of student exchange, articulation of students’ credit, the joint programof staff development, the exchange visit of the faculty, information sharingand enrolling overseas students to come to SICFL for learning Chinese andexperiencing the Chinese culture and reached consensus.

During the visit, the delegation paid a special visit to the studentswho were studying at Université Stendhal and metwith the former Associate Dean of the Department of Spain, young teacher Ms LeiXiang, who was in Madrid. During the meeting, the students said that through athree-month-long study in France, they built up their confidence in such anauthentic environment. They were no longer afraid of speaking in public, whichcould hardly be imagined when they were at SICFL. Professor Zhu encouraged thestudents to make full use of this opportunity and strive for greater progress.Madame Gao also took the opportunity to learn about the actual study that thestudents were having.
