Dr. Yang Guangzhen was graduated and got aBachelor Degree from the Department of Foreign Languages, Fu Dan University in1983. Three years later, through strict examinations, he entered the FirstSino-French Preparatory Program for Ph D in French Literature, which was run byWu Han University. Later, he studied in the Department of French Literature,Department of Anthropology & Social Politics at Université de Paris VIII (Université de Vincennes àSaint-Denis) and at the Department of East Asian Study at Université ParisDiderot, Paris 7. In the year of 1994, he was conferred Doctor of HumaneLetters with outstanding performance. In the year of 1999, he returned toChina, began to teach in East China Normal University and was the then Dean ofThe Department of European Languages, East China Normal University. He was amember of Shanghai Translators Association. In 2003, at the invitation ofShanghai Industry & Commerce Foreign Language College, he set up theDepartment of French and became the Dean of the Department. His field of researchlies in “French Language & Literature, French & Chinese BilingualTranslation and study on the French society.
